Mr Aboubakar Mambimba Ndjoungui, Consortium AGEOS Coordonnator and Deputy General Manager at AGEOS Talks about the GMES & Africa Joint Workshop Service taking place in Zanzibar.

"GMES & Africa is definitely a great opportunity for us to promote the use of Earth Observation data to boost our economy and to better manage our natural resources. we are happy to be part of this process which will surely in the coming years be the key player for decision making at all level of our countries.

We are here in Zanzibar to share our results with our colleagues from others consortia in Africa, to network with them and to learn from them. Experience sharing is key for success. Though we had some challenges, we did not come empty handed, there are many achievements in our basket. We came with our partners from Chad (University of Moundou), Burundi (OBPE) and Cameroon (Ministry of Forest and Fauna). This shows our regional integration."
